JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir admitted that he had written to the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono regarding the formation of the BUMN Karya Holding.
Responding to this, Spokesperson for the Ministry of PUPR Endra S Atmawidjaja said that his party had not received a letter from the Ministry of SOEs. On the other hand, the Ministry of PUPR has not yet been involved in discussing the planned merger.
"Not here yet. As far as I know, it has never been discussed at the BUMN level and us," said Endra when met at his office, Friday, July 12.
Endra said that his party had not yet reviewed the plan to form a BUMN Karya Holding. Therefore, he was not reluctant to comment much. According to him, the Ministry of PUPR has never read or accepted the concept of this.
"No concept has yet been entered. What we want to comment on," concluded Endra.
Previously, SOE Minister Erick Thohir said the process of establishing the BUMN Holding Karya was waiting for the Ministry of PUPR. Erick said he was still waiting for further review results from the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono.
The review was carried out after the proposed merger or merger of BUMN Karya was reviewed by the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
