A Series Of Facts About The Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road Worth Rp10.6 Trillion That Ma'ruf Amin Inaugurated

JAKARTA - The construction of the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road was completed and finally inaugurated by Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 yesterday.

This follows the completion of construction from Section 2B of the Cikeas-Junction Cibitung Interchange Segment with a length of 19.65 kilometers (km), so now the toll road has been fully connected.

"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I will inaugurate the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road," said Ma'ruf Amin, quoted via a live broadcast on the Vice Presidential Secretariat YouTube channel, Wednesday, July 10.

Here are a series of facts:

1. Project Value of IDR 10.6 Trillion

The 26.18 KM Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road is a National Strategic Project (PSN). This toll road is part of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) 2 toll road network managed by PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways as the holder of the toll road concession rights. The investment costs reached IDR 10.6 trillion.

"We are grateful that the road, which has been built since 2016, has finally been completed and is ready to operate for 26.18 km, with a total investment of IDR 10.6 trillion," said Ma'ruf Amin.

2. Make the JORR 2 Toll Road Fully Connected

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) Edwin Syahruzad said that the operation of the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road will make the JORR 2 Toll Road network fully operational for 111 km.

"After fully operational, the JORR 2 road has been fully connected along 111 km, starting from Cengkareng-Kunciran-Serpong-Cinere-Jagorawi-Cimanggis-Cibitung to Cilincing," he said.

Edwin said that this toll road will improve smooth movement, both commuters and logistics of large industrial areas in Jabodetabek, such as the industrial areas of Sentul, Cikarang, Cibitung and Cilincing.

3. Cut Tempuh Time At Most 40 Minutes

Ma'ruf Amin said that this toll road is part of JORR 2 which complements the freeway network in the Jabodetabek area.

"The existence of this toll road is expected to cut the travel time from Bogor to Bekasi to only 30-45 minutes which was previously 1-2 hours if it was through arterial roads," he said.

He added that the construction of this toll road was carried out to realize the connectivity of economic growth and expansion of development.

The hope is that the existence of this access road will be able to increase efficiency and mobility in the Jabodetabek area.

"The connectivity in Jakarta and its surrounding areas is expected to increase with the integration of the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road with toll roads in Jabodetabek. This toll road is also expected to encourage economic efficiency and effectiveness which will later contribute to improving the national and regional economy," he explained.

4. Connected Japek to the Airport Toll Road

With the completion of the construction of the Cimanggis-Cibitung Section 2B Toll Road, the JORR 2 Toll Road network has been fully connected and is expected to be a connecting access from the Cibubur area to the Jagorawi Toll Road while increasing smooth mobility, commuter movement and logistics towards the Cikarang, Cibitung and Cilincing industrial areas.

The presence of this toll road further increases the capacity of roads in the area it passes through. With JORR 2 which is finally fully connected, the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road will also be connected to Tanjung Priok Port to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

"This toll road is connected to the Trans Java Toll Road for the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) section, Tanjung Priok Port, Patimban Port, Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) and Kertajati Airport," said Edwin.

5. Opened Today Without Tariffs Aka Free

PT Cimanggis-Cibitung Tollways as the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road Business Entity announced that the toll road segment will be opened functionally so that it is not yet free. This toll road has started to open functionally or for free today, Wednesday, July 10 starting at 06.00 WIB.

This decision is based on the Decree of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number 1626/KPTS/M/2024, in which the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road Section 2B of the Cikeas Interchange Segment to the Cibitung Junction along 19.65 km has met the requirements for technical, administrative, and toll operating procedures so that they can be operated.

"So, the Cimanggis-Cibitung Segmen Nagrak-Cibitung Toll Road will operate without tariffs on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 starting at 06.00 WIB," wrote the management of PT Cimanggis-Cibitung Tollways, quoted from its official Instagram @cct.co.id, Wednesday, July 10.
