Here's How Toyota Indonesia Removes Worry If Battery Power Runs Out

PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) has an effective way to remove the worries of battery-based vehicle users, namely by inaugurating the latest Privillege Charging Spot and Privillege Parking Spot facilities at Gandaria City Mall, South Jakarta, Monday 8 July.

"Charting spots are built so that BEV and PHEV Toyota and Lexus customers don't have to worry about range anxiety or worry about battery power running out before reaching their destination," said Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) Anton Jimmi Suwandy in an official statement, quoted Tuesday, July 9.

The presence of the latest facility in the mall environment is not without reason. Toyota realized that battery-based environmentally friendly vehicles were still mostly around urban areas.

According to Toyota Indonesia, Gandaria City Mall was also chosen because it has the same vision, namely focusing on the environment and being in the center of the crowd.

At that location, Toyota provides four charging spots that can be used by Toyota and Lexus vehicle owners.

In each place, the slots available include 1 unit of UFC 120 kW with 3 types of CCS2-type gun chargers, CHAdeMO, & AC Type 2 (22 kW) and 1 unit of AC Charger Type 2 22 kW.

Consumers do not need to spend additional fees, aka they can use the facility for free.

"This 200x spot provides a solution to increase the cruising range of BEV and PHEV Toyota and Lexus as well as support customer mobility to various regions, so that more people participate in suppressing carbon emissions," said Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) Hiroyuki Oide.

This latest facility further adds a row of PT TAM portfolios in presenting charging facilities for its customers, which are now four points for Ultra Fast Charging spot filling Toyota.

Previously, similar facilities had been present in several public areas with strategic locations, namely at ASHTA Mall Jakarta, Rest Area KM 456A, and Rest Area KM 695A.

Not only focusing on public areas, but PT TAM has also prepared official dealers with these facilities. Now, there are 111 authorized dealers who have these facilities.

Three dealers have been supported by very fast charging, namely those located in Toyota branches in the areas of Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Banda Aceh. Thus, Toyota consumers no longer need to worry about running out of their EV battery.

Toyota's commitment to developing an environmentally friendly vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia is not only there.

Toyota has also provided various conveniences and conveniences for EV owners with the presence of the Privillege Parking Spot, which is very helpful for motorists in finding parking locations.

In supporting the needs of environmentally friendly vehicles, PT TAM which puts forward the Multi Pathway strategy has presented various options, ranging from Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), to Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).
