JAKARTA - The government plans to establish a new public service agency (BLU) to manage new and renewable energy funds (EBT). This was revealed by the Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Eniya Listiani Dewi.
According to Eniya, this new agency will resemble the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) and the Environmental Fund Management Agency (BPDLH) that have been established before. The provisions related to this BLU will also be established under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance.
"There is an EBET fund management unit. So it's kind of like BPDLH, BPDPKS. But later there will be something like that. But everything is under the Ministry of Finance," said Eniya, quoted on Friday, July 5.
Eniya added that this plan has been confirmed to be listed in the Revision of the New Energy and Renewable Energy Law (RUU EBET) and has been approved by the DPR.
"So the provisions are clear in the article, in the law and already approved as well. It is all under the Ministry of Finance," said Eniya.
