Not Up Until September, This Is The Electricity Tariff For 13 Customer Groups

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has decided whether the electricity tariff for 13 groups of non-subsidized customers will change in the third quarter of 2024.

Thus, electricity tariffs for the period July to September remain or have not changed.

The Director General of Electricity, Jisman P Hutajulu, said that based on the parameters of the exchange rate, ICP, inflation and HBA, the electricity tariff or tariff adjustment for 13 groups of customers should increase when compared to the previous quarter.

"However, to maintain competitiveness and control inflation, the Government has decided whether the electricity tariff will continue or not increase," said Jisman in Jakarta, Friday, June 28.

In accordance with these regulations, the macroeconomic parameters used for the third quarter of 2024 are realization in February, March, and April of 2024, which are exchange rates of IDR 15,822.65 per dollar, ICP of 83.83 US dollars per barrel, inflation of 0.38 percent, and HBA of 70 US dollars tonnes according to the coal-stone DMO policy.

Thus, the following is a list of electricity rates for 13 groups of customers until September 2024:

1. Group R-1/TR, power 900 VA-RTM: Rp1,352 per kWh2. Group R-1/TR, power 1,300 VA: Rp1,444.70 per kWh3. Group R-1/TR, power 2,200 VA: Rp1,444.70 per kWh4. Class R-2/TR, power 3,500-5,500 VA, Rp1,699.53 per kWh5. Group R-3/TR, power 600 VA upward: Rp1,699.53 per kWh6. Group B-2/TR, power 600 VA-200 kVA: Rp1,70 per kWh7. Group B-3/TM, power above 200 kVA: Rp1,114.74,74 per kWh8. Group I-3/TM, power above 200 kVA: Rp1,114 per kWh9. Group I-4 per kWh9. Class I-4/TT, power of 30,000 kVA upward: Rp996,74 per kWh10.
