Land Bank Agency Targets Land Asset Management To Reach 23,000 Ha Throughout 2024

JAKARTA - The Land Bank Agency added that land inventory assets could reach 23,000 hectares (ha). Currently, the land supply by the Land Bank Agency has an area of 18,758 ha in almost all of Indonesia.

Head of the Land Bank Agency, Parman Natamatmadja, said that this figure was still relatively small because the institution had only been around 2.5 years old.

"We have a target this year. We make our own (target) with the approval of the Minister (Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency) 23,000 ha we will get. However, it is still small for one country, yes," said Parman when met at the Pullman Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 26.

Thus, the Land Bank Agency will have assets of around 41,000 ha throughout the country in 2025.

In terms of utilization, said Parman, all groups can buy land owned by the Land Bank Agency. However, on condition that it is used in accordance with the spatial provisions owned by the Land Bank Agency.

"Anyone can (not only a company), individuals can. (The designation) is in accordance with the spatial layout," he said.

Parman added that his party will maintain the selling price of land for investors interested in buying land owned by the Land Bank Agency.

According to him, the presence of the Land Bank Agency will provide convenience to the certainty of any party to acquire land in the country, as long as the land is an asset of the Land Bank Agency.

He highlighted the phenomenon of the difficulty of investors in obtaining land for business development in the country.

"Actually, the existence of a Land Bank provides convenience for investors and also legal certainty to acquire land. Also to (help) the government," he said.
