AirNav Already Served 1,407 Hajj Flights

JAKARTA - The Public Company of the Indonesian Aviation Navigation Service Organizers (Perum LPPNPI) or AirNav Indonesia noted that it had served 1,407 Hajj flights during the period May 12-10 June 2024.

AirNav Indonesia noted that the highest traffic occurred in the Kualanamu embarkation, Medan, North Sumatra, with 444 movements.

"As for, the highest movement during the Hajj flight was on May 12, 2024, with 59 flights," said AirNav Indonesia Corporate Secretary Hermana Soegijantoro in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Thursday, June 20.

AirNav Indonesia noted that as data compiled during the Hajj flight period, there were five busiest embarkation airports in serving the movement of Hajj transportation aircraft, namely Kualanamu Medan (44 movements), Juanda Surabaya (208 movements), Adi Soemarmo Solo (190 movements), Soekarno Hatta Jakarta (181 movements), and Hasanuddin Makassar (87 movements).

In addition to the five airports, Hajj flight navigation services are also available at the embarkation of Sultan Iskandar Muda Aceh, Minangkabau Padang, Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang, Hang Nadim Batam, Kertajati West Java, Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin, Sepingan Balikpapan, and Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Lombok.

Hermana said that as the sole organizer of the navigation service, AirNav contributed to the creation of smooth and safe Hajj flights.

"The form of support is in the form of operating hours which include extend & advance airports, additional personnel and shift, flexibility in the allocation of flight schedules to the application of UPR (free routes) for airline time and fuel efficiency as well as efforts to reduce CO2 carbon emissions," he said.

In addition to the operational support provided during the 2024 Hajj transportation period, AirNav Indonesia through social and environmental responsibilities units (TJSL) has also distributed sacrificial animals to the community around the AirNav Indonesia head office in Neglasari District, Tangerang City, Banten, Friday, June 14.

AirNav Indonesia Director of Finance and Risk Management Azizatun Azhimah said the routine activity was a form of the company's concern that brought benefits to the surrounding community and was also a form of commitment that what was given was solely due to its concern, empathy, and gratitude.

A total of 15 sacrificial animals consisting of one cow and 14 goats were distributed to seven urban villages in Neglasari District. AirNav also distributed sacrificial animals in several other AirNav Indonesia branch offices.
