Baznas Distributes 1,800 Kurban Meat Packages To Jabodetabek Region

JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) distributed 1,800 packages of sacrificial meat in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas.

"A total of 1,800 bags of sacrificial meat are distributed in the Jabodetabek area. It is hoped that this can ease the burden on the underprivileged community, as well as provide happiness on this Eid al-Adha Day," said Deputy II Baznas RI for Distribution and Empowerment of Imdadun Rahmat in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, June 18. A total of 161 packages among them, said Imdadun, were specifically channeled by him in the Bantar Gebang area, Bekasi, West Java. He said Bantar Gebang, known for one of the Final Disposal Sites (TPA), was chosen because many people in the area lived in difficult economic conditions and in uninhabitable environments. Furthermore, he added this activity to be part of Baznas's commitment in eradicating poverty, as well as improving the welfare of zakat or mustahik recipients. "In its implementation, we distribute the Baznas Berkah Kurban throughout Indonesia through the Provincial and Kabupaten/City Baznas through various partners as well, such as pesantren, mass organizations, da'wah institutions, madrasah and so on with the hope that this sacrificial meat can be channeled to remote parts of Indonesia, especially in the 3T region," he said. In the process of distributing sacrificial meat in Bantar Gebang, said Imdadun, his party works together with the local community to ensure that the distribution of sacrificial meat is right on target and smoothly so that it can reach families that really need it. He mentioned the distribution of sacrificial meat in Bantar Gebang is a clear proof that BAZNAS carries out its duties and functions as a welfare agency. in the process of monitoring to distribution, Imdadun emphasized that Baznas is always committed to the 3A principle, namely safe syar'i, regulatory, and safe NKRI.

Imdadun mengatakan target penghimpunan pada Program Kurban Berkah Baznas 2024 secara nasional yakni 7.000 ekor hewan kurban setara domba/kambing, yang akan didistribusikan ke seluruh provinsi di Indonesia."Sementara untuk target kurban nasional yang berasal dari Baznas tingkat provinsi, kabupaten/kota, Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) se-Indonesia, serta kurban umat Islam Indonesia di Masjid dan komunitas sebesar 4.069.000 juta pekurban setara domba dan atau kambing," jelasnya.Imdadun mengucapkan terima kasih kepada para pekurban yang telah mempercayai Baznas sebagai tempat pengelolaan kurbannya.
