Ahead Of Eid Al-Adha, PLN Ensures Jakarta's Electricity Supply Surplus

JAKARTA - Ahead of the celebration of Eid al-Adha, PLN Main Distribution Unit Jakarta Raya ensures that electricity supply in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta is in a surplus condition.

General Manager of PLN Main Distribution Unit Jakarta Raya, Lasiran said Jakarta was supplied with electricity through six Interconnection subsystems 500/150 kV Java-Madura-Bali with a total capacity of 8,958 MW, known as the Great Jakarta Power Grid.

"With a peak load of 5,882 MW, there is a power reserve or a surplus of 3,076 MW, or about 34 percent," he said in an official statement, Sunday, June 16.

Therefore, Lasiran said that the electricity supply in Jakarta is quite reliable and meets the needs during the Eid al-Adha celebration period. PLN UID Jakarta Raya guarantees the availability of electricity for the community.

In addition, Jakarta's electricity supply is also strengthened by 76 substations 150/20 kV. So that it can ensure reliable and stable electricity supply during Eid al-Adha celebrations and so on," said Lasiran.

Lasiran expressed PLN's preparedness to maintain electricity supply during the Eid celebrations supported by competent personnel and excellent supporting equipment.

The reliable electricity supply during the Eid al-Adha celebration was supported by 2,148 officers on standby 24 hours. So, if there are reports of disturbances, it will not take long to handle. The public can report through the PLN Mobile application, the PLN team will immediately move in a matter of minutes," concluded Lasiran.
