JAKARTA PT PLN Energi Primary Indonesia (PLN EPI) ensures that the supply of primary energy for power plants is in a safe condition facing the moment of Eid al-Adha 1445 H. PLN EPI believes that electricity supply for the community is safe with the fulfillment of coal, gas, and fuel oil (BBM) stocks.

President Director of PLN EPI Iwan Agung Firstantara ensured that PLN EPI is ready to keep the primary energy supply reliable so that people can enjoy Eid celebrations comfortably.

Iwan said that the EPI PLN strengthened the supply chain and ensured that the primary energy needs of all generating units were sufficient. Currently, the condition of coal stocks in general is very safe.

"Currently, coal Operations Day (HOP) is in a very good position, the average is in 25-28 HOP, for BBM 7-16 HOP, and for gas and LNG supply it is fulfilled according to the primary energy delivery schedule," said Iwan.

Iwan detailed, as of June 13, 2024, the average stock of PLTU PLN coal in Java, Madura and Bali was 25 HOPs, the average stock condition of PLN's PLTU coal in Sumatra Kalimantan (Sumkal) was 20.8 HOPs.

Meanwhile, the average stock of PLN's PLTU coal in Sulawesi Maluku Papua Nusa Tenggara (Sulmapana) is 27.8 HOP.

"PLN EPI will continue to be on standby in ensuring a reliable primary energy supply for PLN Group's generators," he said.

In addition, Iwan ensured that PLN EPI will continue to coordinate with PLN Indonesia Power Subholding and PLN Nusantara Power so that the primary energy supply for the operational needs of the generator is maintained and there is no disturbance in supporting the community in celebrating Eid al-Adha.

Iwan also said that PLN EPI supports the Government to reduce carbon emissions towards Net Zero Emission (NZE) 2060 by continuing to develop the supply chain of biomass.

"Biomassa is a form of New Renewable Energy (EBT) that can reduce carbon emissions, has a much cheaper and economical price and provides a multiplier effect for the economy of the community and regions," concluded Iwan.
