The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) has requested an additional budget of IDR 29.8 trillion for 2025.

This was conveyed by Acting Deputy Chief of OIKN Raja Juli Antoni during a working meeting (Raker) with Commission II of the DPR RI at the Parliament Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, June 10.

The man who is familiarly called Antoni said that a meeting had previously been held between OIKN, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas to discuss this matter.

"On June 7, 2024, we submitted an additional budget proposal for 2025. In the meeting of the three parties, we recorded several budget needs that have not been allocated in the 2025 indicative ceiling with a total of Rp29.8 trillion," he said.

"This increase is a consequence of the stage of state property management (BMN) which will be submitted by the Ministry of PUPR to OIKN and continue to develop a good urban ecosystem in IKN," he continued.

Even so, said Antoni, this is still a proposal and needs to be discussed with several ministries/agencies. Because, there is still potential for these funds to be shifted to other ministries.

"Earlier, we proposed Rp29 trillion. Whether it is accepted or not or partly shifted to another ministry, it will be discussed later. So, if there is a need for real submission of BMN, then we have a responsibility to manage it well," he said.

Antoni explained that so far the IKN development budget has been handed over to the Ministry of PUPR. However, later the buildings that have been built will be handed over to OIKN to be managed properly.

In addition to the need for human resources (HR), Antoni said OIKN also needed funds. He said the money would be used to care for buildings in IKN.

"So far, the development budget is in PUPR. When it is handed over to OIKN, OIKN's capacity to manage buildings is increased. Second, there needs to be budget availability. So, buildings that are already beautiful, beautiful, they can be treated properly," he said.

The plan is that the additional budget proposal will be used to finance the management of buildings submitted from the Ministry of PUPR to OIKN, further infrastructure development for the 2025 IKN development program and the provision of smart city technology.
