Pertamina Ensures No Oil Spills To Settlement Areas In Tuban

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga ensured that there was no spill of fuel oil (BBM) that ran to residential areas. The oil seepage comes from the Tuban pipe maintained at the Pertamina Patra Niaga oil catcher facility.

"We ensure that there is no spilled oil in residential areas. Pertamina Patra Niaga has oil catcher facilities that can anticipate oil seepage," said PT Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting, Monday, June 10.

Irto continued, the cloud vapor or vapor that arises from oil seepage from the Tuban pipeline has no longer been detected. However, the local community is advised not to smoke near the area.

Pertamina Patra Niaga ensured that the distribution of fuel to Surabaya had been running again since this morning. Sales of fuel at Tuban gas stations have also been running normally at almost the same time.

"The distribution of tank cars for distribution to gas stations has been fixed and has been running normally since 08.30," said Irto.

Irto also said that most of the residents who had fled to the post had also returned to their respective homes.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to monitor the latest developments," concluded Irto.
