JAKARTA - Member of Commission VII DPR RI PKS faction, Mulyanto, assessed that in the late 5 years the government was not serious about managing the field of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Mulyanto imitated the latest government regulations that provide fourths to community organizations (ormas) to manage mines.

"Try it, Mr. Bahlil (Investment Minister) distributes IUPK for mass organizations. Read back the Minerba Law, business entities are at least cooperative, localized by business entities whose shares belong to mass organizations, and must be majority," said Mulyanto in a Working Meeting with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif, Wednesday, June 5.

In fact, he said, in accordance with Law No. 3 of 2020 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining (Minerba), IUP offers are prioritized for business entities.

"What is extraordinary is that we get special priorities. If we read the law, priority is given to BUMN or BUMD," continued Mulyanto.

He also said that the government should focus on basic problems in the ESDM sector and not on other things that cause focus failure.

Another issue that has not been the focus of the government lately, he continued, is the lifting of domestic oil which is getting further and further from the long term plan (LTP) of 1 million barrels of oil per day by 2030.

"The government does not support, half-hearted. The macro conditions are not conducive, the movements are EBT, investment has fallen, natural declining, entrepreneurs have mostly left," concluded Mulyanto.

Just so you know, until May 2024, the realization of Indonesian oil lifting in the first quarter of 2024 was only recorded at 567,650 BOPD or the equivalent of 89.4 percent of the target set this year.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources also proposed the Indonesian oil lifting target in the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN) of 580,000 to 601,000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD).

This target is lower than the oil lifting target in 2024 which is set at 635,000 BOPD.
