PLN Boss Ensures Electricity In IKN Is 100 Percent EBT Until The Next 20 Years

JAKARTA - President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo said the electricity system in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) is based on new and renewable energy (EBT).

Darmawan said that his party had prepared hydropower in the new capital city.

This is done to ensure the electricity system in IKN based on EBT for the next 20 years.

"We are carrying out our duties, God willing, the August 17 Ceremony at IKN has 100 percent of the new renewable energy. We have prepared hydropower around IKN, where until the next 20 years the electricity will remain 100 percent of the EBT," he said during the groundbreaking of the PLN Hub at IKN, East Kalimantan, Wednesday, June 5.

He revealed that the construction of the PLN Hub in the heart of IKN is not only for the benefit of the company, but also for building a large electricity ecosystem in IKN.

The plan is that PLN Hub will be equipped with various facilities that can support business networks and partners who have been collaborating with PLN.

In the construction of the PLN Hub, said Darmawan, his party mobilized the best architects owned by Indonesia.

He also ensured that this project became the epicenter of research and development, both nationally and internationally.

"Our concept here is green, smart and beautiful. We built a PLN Hub that is integrated with nature. We make sure to be the epicenter of research and development, the epicenter of the spirit of collaboration. Not only national, regional, but also international, business center, technology, education, which supports IKN and energy transition to the future," he said.
