Indef: IKN Authority Needs A Leader With Experience And A Good Track Record

JAKARTA - Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (Indef) researcher Agus Herta Sumarto revealed that the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) needs a definitive leader who has experience in his field and has a good track record.

A big super project like IKN certainly requires a person who is already very experienced, his track record is brilliant, said Agus, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, June 4. He also hopes that the next definitive leader of IKN will have good capabilities as evidenced by experience and track records. In addition, this important figure is also expected to have integrity and resilience in all situations and conditions in building and developing IKN. Must be resilient, because as the head of the authority of course it is not only required to be able to run the project properly. The head of the authority will also intersect with political dynamics which often has nothing to do with the performance of development operations, he added. As an evaluation, he recommends the government to focus on the design and plan that has been set at the beginning of the IKN development process including the monitoring and evaluation process. He also suggested that the government be realistic and not shrink the risks faced in project development at IKN.

Sebelumnya Pemerintah mengumumkan pengunduran diri Kepala Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara (OIKN) Bambang Susantono dan Wakil OIKN Dhony Rahajoe di Istana Kepresidenan Jakarta, Senin.Menindaklanjuti hal itu, telah terbit Keputusan Presiden (Keppres) yang mengangkat Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono sebagai Plt Kepala Otorita IKN dan Wakil Menteri ATR Raja Juli Antoni sebagai Plt Wakil Kepala Otorita IKN.Presiden RI meminta Basuki dan Raja Juli menjamin percepatan pembangunan dengan sebaik-baiknya, sesuai visi pada rencana Nusa Rimba Raya dan memberikan manfaat positif bagi masyarakat.
