JAKARTA - PT Asuransi Jasindo and PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen policy distribution and rice plantation insurance claim funds (AUTP) and cattle/cash insurance (AUTS/K) for the 2024 fiscal year.
Director of Insurance Business Development Jasindo Diwe Novara in his statement, Monday, June 3, stated that the collaboration is a strategic initiative to improve services to participants of agricultural and livestock insurance programs.
"With this collaboration, we want to ensure that the beneficiary farmers get the best service, both in terms of policy delivery and distribution of claim funds," he said, quoted from Antara, Monday, June 3.
Through this collaboration, he said that AUTP and AUTS/K policies would be immediately accepted by farmers as policyholders. So far, claim funds have been sent to farmer group accounts, which often cause distribution problems.
Diwe said that his party also hopes that these efforts can increase awareness of farmers of ownership of their agricultural land insurance.
He also hopes that the collaboration with Pos Indonesia can further expand the reach of the agricultural and livestock insurance programs offered by Jasindo throughout Indonesia.
"With this new pattern of policy distribution and distribution of claim funds, we hope that the AUTP and AUTS/K programs will be more targeted and provide greater benefits to farmers," he added.
