KPUPR Leaks Groundbreaking Sectors At IKN Phase 6 On June 4-5

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) ensures that the groundbreaking activity for the sixth phase in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) will be carried out on June 4-5, 2024.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Infrastructure Development Task Force of the Ministry of PUPR IKN Danis H. Sumadilaga when contacted by VOI, Monday, June 3.

"Yes, that's right (the sixth stage of the IKN groundbreaking)," he said.

Danis said the groundbreaking activity would be focused on the education sector. Such as Al-Azhar, Gunadarma University and Bina Karya School.

"(Rencana groundbreaking) ada Astrbiz Center & Botanical Garden, Al-Azhar, Universitas Gunadarma, Bank BTN, Nusantara Sunhub, Bina Karya School, Arena Gourmet dan PLN Icon Plus," katanya.

Even so, Danis has not disclosed in detail the total investment value of the sixth phase of the groundbreaking.

Previously, the Minister of National Development Planning (PPN)/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa said that the total investment included for the development of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) reached Rp49.6 trillion.

"IKN noted that investment commitments continue to increase. This is shown by the implementation of 5 groundbreakings. The total investment pocketed has more than Rp49.6 trillion," he said at the 2024 National Development Planning Conference at JCC Senayan Jakarta, Monday, May 6.

Suharso said the investment through the five groundbreakings was a sign of the start of the construction of various facilities in IKN funded by non-APBN.

"We believe that the IKN development is in accordance with the plan, as mandated by the law," he said.
