Hutama Karya Investigate The Fall Of Materials For The AGO Project At The Jakarta MRT Rail

PT Hutama Karya (Persero) is investigating the main cause of a heavy equipment project by the Indonesian Attorney General's Office which crashed on the mass rapid transit (MRT) rail this afternoon.

As is known, heavy equipment at the construction activities of the Attorney General's Office building on Jalan Panglima Polim, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta fell. The material for the construction hit the MRT Jakarta railroad line.

The incident occurred at around 16:40 WIB. As a result, the MRT was forced to temporarily stop the operation of the entire train series.

"Currently, the Hutama Karya project team is immediately conducting an investigation," said EVP Corporate Secretary of PT Hutama Karya (Persero) Adjib Al Hakim in an official statement, Thursday, May 30.

Adjib said the Hutama Karya project team also immediately cleaned up the material for the Attorney General's (AGO) project at the scene.

"PT Hutama Karya (Persero) will continue to inform the latest updates on handling at the scene at the first opportunity through Hutama Karya's social media account," he explained.

Furthermore, Adjib said that his party had also coordinated with PT MRT Jakarta so that the Jakarta MRT service could function again.

"We apologize and are very sorry for the incident," he said.
