Pertamina Trans Kontinental Ship Officially Operates In International Waters

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) is aggressive in expanding its business in the global market, which is marked by the start of Transko Moloko's operations in Malaysian waters.

This collaboration was marked by the signing of a ship rental agreement based on the time or Time Charter Party for Offshore Service Vessel between the Marketing Director of PTK, Andy Arvianto and Managing Director of Offshore Harvester Sdn Bhd, Jalaludin Zamirdin in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday 17 May.

The signing was witnessed and attended by the President Director of PTK I Ketut Laba, Director of Gas, Petrokimia, & New Business of PT Pertamina Internasional Shipping Arief Sukmara, and Country Manager of PT Pertamina Malaysia EP Eva Fadlila.

I Ketut Laba explained that the operation of Transko Moloko was a strategic step and also an important milestone for PTK in realizing the company's vision of becoming a global player.

"In the future, we will also be more aggressive in targeting various other global business opportunities, including collaborating with PT Pertamina Malaysia EP, the affiliate of the Pertamina Group which has been established in Malaysia," said I Ketut Laba, Saturday, May 18.

Transko Moloko is one type of Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) ship owned by PTK which was built in 2014 with Bollar Pull of 65 Tons and Cargo Desk Space of 400 m2.

Transko Moloko functions as a support ship, especially for upstream oil and gas activities, including for Anchor Handling, Towing Rig & Accomodation Work Barge, Running Cargo, Passenger Accomodation, Happy Fuel/Mud and Barite/FW/Cement.

This ship is also equipped with tools for ship guides when entering and leaving the dock in certain waters, especially for ships with a length of more than 30 meters. Prior to operating in Malaysia, Transko Moloko had been operating and experienced in serving similar upstream activities in Indonesia.

In the same place, Managing Director of Harvester, Jalaludin Zamirdin welcomed the collaboration between these two companies.

"We welcome this cross-border cooperation. We hope this collaboration is an entry point for both companies to be able to cooperate on other opportunities", said Jalaludin.

This collaboration is also expected to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Malaysia and improve the efficiency and quality of marine logistics services in Asia Pacific.

Furthermore, PTK will continue to prepare other fleets to expand and strengthen the position of PTK as an integrated marine services company with a global scale.
