Pertamina Opens 24-Hour Avtur Facility In Bali During The World Water Forum

JAKARTA - Pertamina operates all facilities and facilities at the avtur terminal (Aviation Fuel Terminal/AFT) at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, for 24 hours to support the implementation of the 10th World Water Forum (WWF).

"The most crucial thing is the aviation fuel, it is estimated that there will be an increase in consumption at Ngurah Rai Airport," said Area Manager Communication, Relations and CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Region, East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, May 14.

His party projects an increase in avtur consumption at Ngurah Rai Airport to reach around 21 percent or 400 kiloliters (KL) per day from the average daily normal consumption of 2,050 kl per day.

There is also a prediction that the peak consumption of avtur at Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport is expected to occur on 17-19 May 2024.

The supply of avtur on the Island of the Gods is channeled from the Ngurah Rai Aircraft Charging Depot (DPPU) which has an avtur storage capacity of 24,300 kiloliters.

The DPPU is supported by seven tank cars to refill the avtur with a capacity of 40 kiloliters and two tank cars to refill it with a capacity of 25 kiloliters and 14 hydrant dispensers.

The readiness of the service is also supported by Ngurah Rai AFT personnel who have been certified as competencies from the oil and gas SOEs, then from the Ministry of Transportation and Special Engineering Certification (STTK) A from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

"Aviation operators have been certified as a standard for international presidential aircraft, so that the distribution of aviation fuel to airlines has gone through very strict quality checks in terms of products and personnel qualifications," he added.

With this strict control, his party guarantees the quality of fuel used by the presidential plane of the World Water Forum delegation and other commercial aircraft.

Meanwhile, Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Irto Ginting also ensured that fuel needs in the aviation and land transportation sectors could be met during the forum.

"We will provide maximum support in this activity and will coordinate intensively with airlines, Angkasa Pura, TNI, Polri, and Airnav in ensuring the energy supply service process runs smoothly," he added.
