Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi reported that he had completed 25 national strategic projects (PSN) in the transportation sector. The project was completed in the period 2020 to 2024.

Budi said the project that had been completed consisted of 11 projects in the sea transportation sector, seven projects in the railway sector, and seven projects in the air transportation sector.

"If we talk quantitatively, the Ministry of Transportation has reached 82 percent, namely 25 projects have been completed 7 in the air, 7 on the train, 11 at the port," he said at the National Working Meeting for the Acceleration and Pre-Evaluation of PSN in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 14.

Budi said several projects had been completed, such as the Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) Airport (YIA) Train, Makassar New Port, Komodo Airport Development in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Airport in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Furthermore, Budi said there are four PSN projects that will also be accelerated for construction to be completed this year. Meanwhile, the other two are targeted for completion next year.

"Four projects will be completed this year and there are still two projects that may have to be completed or completed next year," he said.

The four projects targeted for completion this year are Sorong Harbor, the development of Benoa Port through the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH), the construction of a double track or railway double line in Java and the Lahat-Kertapati Logistics KA Project.

Budi said the PSN project undertaken by the Ministry of Transportation was the government's effort to increase community connectivity throughout Indonesia. He also committed to continuing the completion of PSN until the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin administration was completed in October 2024.

"God willing, this is the result of the leadership's work from Pak Jokowi and we must support it so that in the last four months we have to complete those tasks," he said.
