JAKARTA - PT AirAsia Indonesia Tbk recorded a significant increase in financial performance. Throughout 2023, the company's revenue increased 75.24 percent on an annual basis or year on year (yoy) to Rp6.62 trillion.
President Director of Indonesia AirAsia, Veranita Yosephine Sinaga, said that last year's increase in operating income mostly came from flight operations.
"Where the sales of airplane seat tickets contributed Rp5.63 trillion, followed by revenue from baggage of Rp731.74 billion. Veranita said Denpasar was the main source of revenue of IDR 2.63 trillion, followed by Jakarta worth IDR 2.58 trillion. Meanwhile, Surabaya and Medan recorded IDR 784 billion and IDR 624 billion, respectively.
Despite the increase in fuel prices and repair and maintenance costs, Veranita continued, the company still generates revenue.
