Waskita Beton Builds Container Page At Batam Container Port Worth IDR 360 Billion

PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (WSBP) signed a container yard construction contract at the Port of the Batu Ampar Container, Batam City, Riau Islands with PT Persero Batam worth IDR 360 billion.

President Director of PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk, FX Poerbayu Ratsunu in Batam, Monday, May 6, said the project area reached 12 hectares consisting of the construction of container pages and supporting infrastructure covering an area of 9.8 hectares and repairing 2.2 hectares of yard containers.

"Before carrying out the physical work, we will carry out a draft design concept into Detail Engineering Design (DED) for 3-4 months from the total 15 months of project work," said Poerbayu, quoted from Antara.

He conveyed that Batam City is one of the areas covered by Sales Area 1 WSBP with an increase in the value of new contracts, namely expanding project coverage, realizing the performance of the new WSBP branch office in the city.

"As the company's marketing office in expanding the scope of project acquisition, which includes the supply of precast, readymix, and WSBP construction services in Sumatra and its surroundings," he said.

Poerbayu said, the WSBP New Contract Value (NKB) has been achieved up to 40 percent of the year's target, this project I contributed 65 percent to NKB TW I/2024.

Director of PT Persero Batam Arham S Torik said the expansion of the stage I pier area is one of three stages of the development of the Batu Ampar Container Port which is scheduled to be completed until 2080.

"In phase I this year Batu Ampar Port has operated 1 unit of STS Crane and two units of Harbor Mobil Crane (HMC) to serve loading and unloading activities for containers," he said.

He explained that the project includes preparation and general work, with the work of drafting the concept of design into Detail Engineering Design (DED), carrying out the procurement of goods/materials and services for completion of work.

Then make a plan for implementing work and implementation methods, as well as carrying out construction work as a whole.

"The value of this contract is IDR 360 billion with a working period of 16 months and a maintenance period of 360 days," said Arham.
