Bambang Brodjonegoro Appointed Astra International Independent Commissioner

JAKARTA - PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) appointed Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro (Bambang Brodjonegoro) as Independent Commissioner.

Quoting Antara, Bambang Brodjonegoro is a former Minister of Research and Technology of Indonesia / Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in the Government of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, which was inaugurated on October 23, 2019 and dismissed on April 28, 2021 after the merger between the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti)

Previously, in the Working Cabinet of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Bambang Brodjonegoro was trusted as Minister of National Development Planning for Indonesia from 27 July 2016 to 20 October 2019, as well as Minister of Finance who served from 27 October 2014 to 27 July 2016.

In the United Indonesia Cabinet II during the time of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President Boediono, Bambang Brodjonegoro was the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

Furthermore, in the AGMS, Astra International appointed Hsu Hai Yeh as Commissioner of the Company, Rudy as Director of the Company, Thomas Junaidi Alim W as Director of the Company, and accepted Johannes Loman's resignation as Director of the Company.
