Ministry Of PUPR Salurkan BSPS Program For 147 Houses In Papua

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Housing distributed the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS) for 147 uninhabitable houses in Papua Province.

In total, there are four sub-districts in Jayapura City that have received the BSPS program of the Ministry of PUPR 2023.

"As part of the implementation of the 2023 Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS), as many as 147 uninhabitable houses (RTLH) in Jayapura City received BSPS from the Ministry of PUPR," reads a statement from the Ministry of PUPR quoted from its official Instagram account @kemenpupr, Tuesday, April 30.

In this program, each beneficiary gets IDR 23.5 million to rehabilitate his house. "The houses have now been rehabilitated as habitable," he said.

In detail, for Abepura District in Wahno Village, 36 housing units have been repaired. Then, in South Jayapura District, which is spread across Ardipura, Entrop and Argapura Villages, 41 houses were rehabilitated.

Then, in North Jayapura District, which is located in Tanjung Ria Village, Mandala, Trikora, Bhayangkara and Gubeksi, 41 housing units were repaired. Furthermore, in Heram District, to be precise in Waena Village, there were 29 housing units that were rehabilitated.

"The PUPR Ministry will continue to coordinate with local governments as the proposer of people who are entitled to BSPS and private parties through the CSR and Baznas programs, so that more people get the BSPS," he said.

Meanwhile, a local resident named Patius Tabuni admitted that he was very grateful to be able to get the BSPS Program from the Ministry of PUPR.

"Now my family and I can have a decent house. I hope that the BSPS program will continue because there are still many people who need a decent house. Thank you, Ministry of PUPR," he added.
