JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) facilitates as many as 12 domestic agricultural equipment and machinery industries (alsintan) to participate in the prestigious Saron International de l'Agriculture au Maroc (SIM) Meknes 16 which was held at Meknes, Morocco, on April 22-28, 2024.

The exhibition has the potential to increase market access for local alsintan products, considering that Morocco is an economic hub country in Africa and is one of the trade gates with Europe.

The 12 participants who have passed the curation process, namely PT Golden Agin Nusa, PT CBA, PT Indobaja Prima Murni, PT D-Prix, PT Thanks to Machine Iman, PT Star Metal, PT Liga Landak Makmur, GENPRO, PT Cipta Agri Nusantara, PT Phonna Raya, PT Baha Jaya Sejahtera and CV Mandiri Garlica Pratama.

Sopar said that facilitation of the participation of the national industry in the 16th SIAM Meknes was one of the programs initiated by the Ministry of Industry to support one of the 2020-2024 RPJMN targets in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 18 of 2020, namely the contribution of exports of high-tech industrial products which is targeted to reach 13 percent by 2024.

"The strategy of increasing exports of goods and services in the manufacturing industry sector will be supported by revitalization of the processing industry which encourages diversification of non-commodity export products, especially high-tech manufacturing products," he said.

He is optimistic that Indonesia's participation in the 16th SIAM Meknes will also increase its significant contribution to the growth and export performance of the ILMATE sector. In fact, facilitation and industrial participation in the promotion of ILMATE product capabilities in the international arena is expected to be one of the efforts to increase the competitiveness of the ILMATE sector.
