Entrepreneurs Alumni Of The Pre-Employment Card Program Get KUR From The Government

JAKARTA - The government has provided supermikro people's business credit (KUR) to alumni of the Employment Card program for termination of employment (PHK) who have now become entrepreneurs.

Deputy for the Coordination of the Digital Economy, Manpower, and MSMEs of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy Rudy Salahuddin stated that this program was a continuation for the alumni of the Pre-Employment Card who were entrepreneurs and wanted to graduate not only micro, but also small and medium enterprises.

"If the alumni of the Pre-Work Card program want to improve the quality and scale of their production, they will need additional capital so that the KUR program can increase their business scale in the future," said Rudy Salahuddin as quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 6.

Based on data from the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, it shows that up to December 7, 2020 there were 43.8 million registrants on the official website of the Pre-Work Card program from 514 districts and cities in 34 provinces in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, from batches one to 11, there were 5.98 million people who were designated as Pre-employment Card recipients, with 5.23 million of whom had received incentives.

Based on information from the Implementing Management of the Pre-Employment Card Program, there are approximately 19,500 alumnus who claim to be entrepreneurs.

Executive Director of Pre-Employment Card Implementing Management, Denni Puspa Purbasari, said that 35 percent of pre-employment card recipients who were previously unemployed, 17 percent of them have been able to become entrepreneurs.

"We provide this data to the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy to become a follow-up program or a graduation program for pre-employment card program recipients after they become entrepreneurs," he said.

He hopes that the empowerment of the alumni of the Pre-Employment Card program will be an effort to support the growth of national entrepreneurs so that they can achieve the 2020-2024 RPJMN target, namely the national entrepreneurship ratio of 3.9 percent and new entrepreneurial growth of 4 percent in 2024.
