The Number Of Airplane Passengers During The Peak Of Backflow At 20 AP II Airports Reaches 309,477 People

PT Angkasa Pura II recorded a cumulative movement of passengers at 20 AP II airports of 309,477 people at the peak of April 15 backflow or D+4 Eid Al-Fitr.

This figure increased quite significantly by 24 percent compared to D+4 last year 249,090 people.

Meanwhile, aircraft movements reached 2,010 flights, up 11 percent from the previous 1,808 flights.

Especially at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia, the number of passengers at the peak of backflow was 186,774 people with aircraft movements of 1,153 flights.

AP II VP of Corporate Communication Cin Asmoro said operations and services at the peak of backflow went smoothly.

"An important point in the operational and service aspects can be maintained properly, so that the departure flow and passenger arrival at the peak of the backflow run smoothly. We thank all stakeholders for their support and collaboration and close coordination," said Cin Asmoro in an official statement, Tuesday, April 16.

One form of support and collaboration of stakeholders is the addition of service personnel at the peak of backflow.

Cin also said airlines and ground handling added personnel for baggage services which became the most important point in the backflow, so that the baggage handling process went well and smoothly starting from lowering baggage from the plane, then handling baggage in the make-up area, to baggage ready for passengers at the baggage claim area inside the terminal.

The addition of for example personnel is at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, where ground handling operators add more than 100 personnel at Terminal 2, "explained Cin.

The availability of public transportation is also an important point so that airplane passengers can quickly go to their respective homes.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport as the busiest airport at the peak of backflow can properly regulate public transportation through the Land Transport Control Center (LTCC) facility so that taxis, buses and other modes can meet high demand," he said.

Cin said the airline's role was significant in maintaining smoothness at the peak of backflow, where the timeliness of flights or on time performance (OTP) at 20 airports on average ranged from 75 percent to 80 percent.

All stakeholders at AP II airport have the same goal of providing the best service for the community, especially airplane passengers who travel by air during the Eid 2024 transportation period.

"Stakeholders fill each other out and through a good orchestration at the 2024 Eid Monitoring Post, the peak of backflow runs smoothly throughout AP II airport," he said.
