The South Japek II Functional Toll Road Is Closed After The Handling Of The Gran Max Death Accident KM 58

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) has again closed the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II South Toll Road, the Sadang-Kutanegara section, which is functionalized today from 09.47 WIB.

The operation of the functional toll road is carried out to unravel the traffic density due to a fatal accident that occurred at KM 58 of the Japek Toll Road this morning.

"The functional path of the South Jakarta-Cikampek II (South Japek II) Toll Road for the Sadang-Kutanegara Segment towards Jakarta, which was previously opened on April 8 starting at 09.47 WIB, for police discretion, has been closed at 14:10 WIB," said Jasa Marga Marketing and Communication Department Head Faiza Riani in a statement, Monday, April 8.

Faiza said the functional lane for the South Japek II Toll Road was closed due to police discretion after the accident was handled at KM 58+600 Japek Toll Road towards Jakarta and the traffic conditions for the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road were observed to be back to normal.

"Jasa Marga also urges people who will travel back and forth via toll roads to ensure travel readiness, including meeting travel requirements, ensuring the condition of the driver and vehicle is in prime condition and roadworthy, preparing supplies and ensuring sufficient fuel and electronic money balance," he said.

Monitor traffic conditions through real-time CCTV on toll roads through the Travoy application. The latest traffic information and traffic service requests can also be obtained through the Jasa Marga One Call Center at 14080, the X account @PTJASAMARGA, the Travoy application and Jasa Marga's official social media.

As previously reported, there was an accident during the Lebaran homecoming flow at KM 58 of the Cikampek Toll Road on Monday morning, April 8. The three vehicles involved were Daihatsu GrandMax, Daihatsu Terios and a bus.

As a result of this incident, the police brought 13 body bags from the accident site to the Karawang Hospital for identification.

This incident occurred when a car from the direction of Jakarta took the contraflow route at KM 58 of the Cikampek Toll Road. The car then swerved and crashed into a bus on the Bandung-Jakarta route.

There was another car that tried to avoid but hit a car that had an accident first. The two cars that collided then caught fire.
