551,876 Vehicles Leave Jabotabek Until D-5 Lebaran 2024

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) noted, as many as 551,876 vehicles left the Jabotabek area on D-7 to D-5 Idulfitri 1445 Hijriah or on Wednesday-Friday, 3-5 April 2024.

This figure is the cumulative traffic flow (traffic) of the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (direction to Merak), Ciawi GT (direction to Puncak) and Cikampek Utama GT (direction to Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (direction to Bandung).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 33.17 percent compared to normal traffic (414,410 vehicles). When compared to the Lebaran 2023 period, the total volume of this traffic was 11.70 percent (494,091 vehicles)," said Jasa Marga Marketing & Communication Department Head Faiza Riani in a statement, Saturday, April 6.

For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek towards all three directions, namely the majority of 302,951 vehicles (54.89 percent) heading East (Trans Java and Bandung), 150,793 vehicles (27.32 percent) heading West (Merak) and 98,132 vehicles (17.78 percent) heading South (Puncak).

The details of the traffic distribution are as follows:

East direction (Trans Java & Bandung)

Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road reached 206,057 vehicles, an increase of 156.21 percent from normal traffic.

Then, traffic left Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road with 96,894 vehicles. This figure increased 5.57 percent from normal traffic.

"Total lalin meninggalkan Jabotabek menuju arah Trans Jawa dan Bandung melalui kedua GT tersebut sebanyak 302,951 kendaraan atau meningkat sebesar 75,92 persen dari lalin normal," katanya.

Bad West (Merak)

Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road penetrated 150,793 vehicles, an increase of 6.95 percent from normal traffic.

Badminton South (Puncak)

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 98,132 vehicles. This figure is 3.04 percent lower than normal traffic.

Jasa Marga also predicts that the peak of the homecoming flow will occur today, Saturday, April 6, with the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek through the four main toll gates being 259,000 vehicles. This figure is up 66.8 percent against normal traffic, an increase of 0.03 percent against Eid al-Fitr 2023.

"We urge road users to ensure their readiness before traveling, including by ensuring the adequacy of electronic money and fuel balances and ensuring that the condition of the vehicle and the driver are in optimal condition," he added.

Obey signs and directions from officers in the field and always be disciplined in terms of driving on toll roads. Use time wisely by not lingering in the rest area. Road users are advised to check the time and route for implementing dynamic traffic engineering from the police.
