Maintain Electricity Supply During Eid 2024, PLN Alerts 4,782 Personnel

SURABAYA - PT PLN (Persero) Distribution Main Unit (UID) East Java alerted 4,782 personnel to maintain electricity supply during the Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri alert period, namely April 3 to 18, 2024. "A total of 4,782 personnel were alerted in 144 posts throughout East Java to ensure the reliability of electricity supply in order to support the solemnity of worship and smooth homecoming during Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri," said General Manager of PLN UID East Java Agus Kuswardoyo, quoted from ANTARA, Thursday, April 4. As well as explaining, the power capable of electricity 9,999 MW, peak load of 6,413 MW and power reserves of 2,204 MW or 34.36 percent. PLN also projects peak loads on the day of Eid Al-Fitr to decrease by 16.73 percent due to the large number of industries that have stopped production, so it is certain that power parts will be larger. "From the generation to distribution, everything has been prepared. Priority for security at places of worship, fields of religious activities, vital objects such as airports, stations, ports, ports and others," Agus said.

Agus said the thousands of personnel on standby were equipped with 88 mobile generators, 49 Uniterruptible Power Supply (UPS), 199 Mobile Substation Units (UGB), 12 UKB, 14 cranes and 1 mini-scada mobile. "Accommodating the increasing number of electric vehicles, we added 47 SPKLU units along the East Java toll road to 55 SPKLU units spread across 19 locations to support homecoming trips. All of them have been checked for readiness," added Agus.

Thus, a total of 108 SPKLU units have been spread across 49 locations.

People who use electric vehicles can find out the location of the nearest SPKLU using SPKLU information available in the PLN Mobile application. Not only that, PLN has also held troops and equipment, assessment of standby locations to coordination with policy makers in each location.
