D-6 Lebaran, Motorbike Travelers Via Ciwandan Still Monitored Sloping

JAKARTA - Entering the D-6 Lebaran 2024, the movement of travelers with motorbikes that will cross from the island of Java to Sumatra via Ciwandan Port, Banten, was observed to be still sloping.

Meanwhile, the traffic for logistics trucks in class VI and VII is quite busy and under control.

Corporate Secretary of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Shelvy Arifin said, based on monitoring Merak post data as of 24 hours, 2,435 two-wheeled vehicles and 1,211 logistics vehicles had been dispatched to Bakauheni.

The amount goes through the period April 4, 2024 at 08.00 WIB until April 5, 2024 at 08.00 WIB or D-7. In total, production realization reaches 3,646 units of vehicles.

The ASDP production data shows that the traffic of vehicles diverted to Ciwandan, namely two-wheeled vehicles or class I, II, and III until Thursday, April 4, is still sloping in the afternoon. On the other hand, the traffic of trucks, which are dominated by groups VI and VII, has been quite busy since yesterday but has been observed to be busy smoothly until this afternoon," Shelvy said in an official statement, Thursday, April 4.

Shelvy said that the VIB and VII groups had been observed to have increased since they were first dispatched last Wednesday using KMP Kumala at 01.30 WIB.

This condition was previously predicted, referring to data from the number of ASDP ticket bookings as of Thursday, April 4, morning showing that the highest reservation for the Ciwandan-Bakauheni route fell on the first departure with a reservation rate of 82.49 percent of the total quota provided.

Currently, the number of online motorcycle ticket reservations from H-7 to D-1 is still at 10,128 units or 26.9 percent of the total available quota.

Shelvy appealed to travelers who will go through Ciwandan to immediately order online tickets independently to maintain the smoothness and comfort of all parties during the homecoming flow

"Especially for those through the port of Ciwandan, it is hoped that service users have purchased tickets available online through the Ferizy application no later than D-1 departure," he said.

"Homecomers are asked to arrange departure times according to the schedule purchased. Maintain the stamina of the vehicle and the travelers themselves, so that the homecoming journey is cheerful with meaning, arrive safely at their destination and when they return home when the flow returns," he continued.

The route route Ciwandan-Bakauheni, which is 18 miles away, will take up to 120 minutes. A total of 10 ships will serve the crossing through the 3.7 pier, and 5a ports of Ciwandan, namely KMP Kumala, KMP Als Elvina, KMP Wira Artha, KMP Dorothy, KMP Trimas Fhadila, KMP Rishel, KMP Titian Nusantara, KMP Rajakarta, KMP Panorama, and KMP Amadea with a total of 21 trips per day.
