Jasa Marga Gives 20 Percent Tariff Discount During Eid Al-Fitr 2024 Homecoming, Save The Date

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk provides a 20 percent toll rate discount for the Trans Java Toll Road from Jakarta to Semarang and vice versa during the period of homecoming and return to Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri or Lebaran 2024.

The 20 percent toll rate discount applies to toll road rates managed by Jasa Marga Group, namely the integration of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road & MBZ Flyover, Palimanan-Kanci Toll Road, Batang-Semarang Toll Road and Semarang Toll Road Section ABC.

This toll tariff discount will apply from the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to the Kalikangkung GT of the Batang-Semarang Toll Road on the homecoming flow and from the Kalikangkung GT of the Batang-Semarang Toll Road to the Cikampek Utama GT of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road on the backflow.

"The application of toll rates for all groups of vehicles functions to maximize the distribution of traffic and avoid the accumulation of vehicles on a certain date which is predicted to be the peak flow of homecoming and return," said Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana in a written statement received by VOI, Monday, April 1.

He added that the application of the tariff discount is also a form of maximum service from Jasa Marga which is in accordance with the principles of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG). So, it can provide benefits to the community.

"We hope that this toll tariff cut can attract interest and become a reference for people who have longer flexibility so that they can arrange their homecoming travel time early and return trips later, so they can take advantage of toll rates," he said.

The technical implementation of the toll tariff discount applies to all groups of vehicles and only for vehicles from the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) and transactions are issued at the Kalikangkung GT of the Batang-Semarang Toll Road during the period of homecoming flow, starting from Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 05.00 WIB to Friday, April 5, 2024, at 05.00 WIB.

As for the backflow, the toll tariff discount is only for vehicles from GT Kalikangkung, Jalan Tol Batang-Semarang and transactions are out at GT Cikampek Utama, Jalan Tol Jakarta-Cikampek starting Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 05.00 WIB to Friday, April 19, 2024, at 05.00 WIB.

"This tariff discount applies to road users who use electronic money. For this reason, we urge road users to be able to ensure their readiness before traveling, including by ensuring the adequacy of electronic money and fuel balances and ensuring the condition of the vehicle and the driver are in optimal condition," he said.

For your information, Jasa Marga predicts that the peak flow of homecoming will occur on D-4 or Saturday, April 6, 2024, where there are around 259,000 vehicles leaving Jakarta or an increase of 0.03 percent against Eid 2023 and an increase of 66.8 percent for normal traffic.

Meanwhile, the prediction for the peak of backflow will occur on D+4 or Monday, April 15, 2024, with 300,000 vehicles returning to Jakarta or an increase of 13.2 percent against Eid 2023 or an increase of 131 percent against normal traffic.

On this basis, the toll tariff discount will be given outside of the time which is predicted to be the peak of the homecoming flow and back so that traffic can be distributed properly.
