It is recorded that there have been 1,124 Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) that will be alerted throughout Indonesia.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said that during this year's Eid homecoming period, PLN and partners ensured that SPKLU was ready to serve travelers using electric vehicles.

"PLN and partners have prepared SPKLUs spread throughout Indonesia with a total of 1,124 units. In fact, specifically for main homecoming routes such as the Trans Sumatra-Java toll road, there will be an additional 100 SPKLU units," he said in a statement to the media, Saturday, March 30.

Darmawan said PLN had placed SPKLU units at several main points of homecoming flow in Sumatra, Java, Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, Nusa Tenggara to Papua. Such as the Trans Sumatra-Java toll road which will be supported by a total of 168 SPKLU units.

"PLN has carefully mapped the SPKLU distribution. As on the Trans Sumatra-Java toll road, the average distance between SPKLUs is about 23 km. This is very safe to serve the needs of electric vehicles whose average distance is between 300-500 km," explained Darmawan.

Darmawan added, during this standby period, PLN also deployed 3,504 employees who would stand by for 24 hours non-stop on SPKLU. Even PLN has also alerted mobile SPKLUs that can move in serving electric vehicle users in locations that have not been reached by conventional SPKLU.

"In addition to the SPKLU, PLN has also prepared a Public Electric Vehicle Battery Exchange Station (SPBKLU) for two-wheeled electric vehicles in collaboration with partners. There are 1,839 SPBKLU units throughout Indonesia that are available," added Darmawan.

In addition, PLN has also alerted 9,771 units of Public Electricity Charging Stations (SPLU) for electric motor charging. To find out the detailed points of the SPKLU location, SPBKLU and SPLU customers can access it through the PLN Mobile application.
