Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said that the increase in people's palm oil rejuvenation (PSR) program funds would be increased from IDR 30 million per hectare (Ha) to IDR 60 million per Ha effective from May 2024.
"The government will increase the PSR funds disbursed to planters from Rp. 30 million to Rp. 60 million per Ha so that planters can care for their plants to produce FFB (Tand Fresh Fruit)," said Airlangga at the National Coordination Meeting on the National Action Plan for Sustainable Palm Oil Plantation (RAN-KSB), Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Airlangga said that the increase in PSR funds will take effect in May 2024 and there will be a revision regarding the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture (Permentan) Number 03 of 2022 concerning Human Resources Development, Research and Development, Rejuvenation, as well as Facilities and Infrastructure for Palm Oil Plantation.
"PSR funds (to Rp 60 million) will start in May. Then there will be a revision of the amount of KLHK related to the number of KLHK," Airlangga added.
Airlangga said that the people's oil palm rejuvenation (PSR) program only reached around 50,000 hectares (Ha) per year since 2017.
This figure is below the target set by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) of 180,000 Ha per year.
Since its launch by President Joko Widodo in October 2017, the PSR Program until 2023 has touched 142,078 people's palm oil plantations with disbursed funds of Rp9.11 trillion and with a total PSR area of 326,678 ha.

Airlangga conveyed that as a form of support, the government would revise the various requirements in Permentan Number 03 of 2022.
"Earlier there were 6 steps, to 3 steps and the verification was made easier to use the service, it could use the association or institution that would later be appointed and then proceed to the Directorate General of Plantation and BPDPKS. In addition, the PSR submission process has also been shortened so that with this new mechanism, it is hoped that in 15 days it can be processed," explained Airlangga.
