KAI Records Train Tickets For The Most Selling Eid Period In D-4 And D+3

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that sales of medium and long-distance train tickets for the Eid al-Fitr 2024 period had sold more than 1.8 million or 55 percent of the total seats provided.

The period for transporting the Lebaran 2024 train was set by KAI, starting from D-10 or March 31 to D+10 or April 21, 2024.

KAI Vice President Public Relations Joni Martinus said that KAI provided 3,400,374 seats for the Eid 2024 period.

"Middle or long-distance train tickets sold 1,862,990 from seats provided 3,400,374. The occupancy is 55 percent," said Joni in an official statement, Tuesday, March 26.

Based on KAI data monitoring as of today, said Joni, ticket sales are the highest on April 6, 2024 or D-4, namely 124,770 tickets. Then on April 14, 2024 or D+3, namely 118,966 tickets.

Furthermore, Joni said the number of train tickets sold was still possible to increase considering that ticket sales were still being made.

"The number of tickets sold will continue to increase because sales are still ongoing," he said.
