Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said the government was committed to fulfilling the payment of claims related to the cooking oil ratio.
Luhut conveyed this commitment while chairing the Coordination Meeting for Cooking Oil Rafaction Payment today, Monday, March 25.
For your information, the debt problem with the price difference or one price cooking oil program ratio has not found a bright spot. The debt has not been paid to employers for two years since this program was launched in January 2022.
"We have to resolve (the problem) regarding this cooking oil ratio. This has been audited by BPKP (Financial and Development Supervisory Agency) and there is no such issue. We must immediately resolve this, so that traders do not suffer losses," he said in an official statement, Monday, March 25.
On this occasion, Luhut also asked for confirmation from the Attorney General's Office regarding the legal aspect of the obligation to pay off the government debt.
Luhut informed that the claim that was not accommodated was due to conflict with document problems.
According to him, a number of claims cannot be processed due to the incompleteness of the supporting documents for the payment claim.
"If the problem of documents is incomplete, of course we can't because it violates the rules. But if there are documents that we can help push, especially for small traders, guide them, the important thing is to pay attention to the legal aspect," said Luhut.
For information, representatives from BPKP, BPDKS (Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit), Ministry of State Secretary, Office of the Presidential Staff, Coordinating Ministry for the Economy and the Ministry of Industry expressed their support to immediately settle the payment of claims according to the results of the verification of Sucofindo.
Regarding the settlement of payments, Luhut also reminded that the delay in payment is closely related to the fate of traders so that it needs to be resolved immediately.
"We all government officials must remember traders, if this is the case, it's a pity for the traders. This should be his capital, so it stops turning around. It also has a decent impact. We have to understand that, they also have limited capital," concluded Luhut.
