KAI Records 1.7 Million Train Tickets For The Eid Period Sold Out

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that sales of medium and long-distance train tickets for the Eid al-Fitr 2024 period had sold more than 1.7 million or 50 percent of the total seats provided.

The period for transporting the Lebaran 2024 train was set by KAI, starting from D-10 or March 31 to D+10 or April 21, 2024.

KAI Vice President Public Relations Joni Martinus said that KAI provided 3,409,802 seats for the Eid 2024 period.

"Middle or long-distance train tickets sold 1,706,965 of the seats provided are 3,409,802. The occupancy is 50 percent," said Joni in an official statement, Friday, March 22.

Joni said the number of train tickets sold is still possible to increase considering ticket sales are still being made.

"The number of tickets sold will continue to increase because sales are still ongoing," he said.

Based on KAI data monitoring as of today, ticket sales are the highest on April 6, 2024 or D-4, namely 115,150 tickets. Then on April 14, 2024 or D+3, namely 111,616 tickets.
