JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or AHY revealed about the collaboration between the Ministry of ATR/BPN and the World Bank for the Agrarian Reform Acceleration Program (PPRA).

"We want how the implementation of land and spatial planning can support economic growth. Of course we want pro-environmental and responsive implementation of climate change," AHY said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 21.

According to him, the main program of cooperation between the Ministry of ATR/BPN and the World Bank is the Agrarian Reform Acceleration Program (PPRA).

Basically, this PPRA aims to increase land registration and land administration achievements to realize legal certainty of land rights.

The acceleration of the program is pursued in various ways. The PPRA program also involves people who have been given training as land data collectors (Pullatan).

In addition, the Ministry of ATR/BPN continues to focus on carrying out digital transformation.

AHY said PPRA had taken place in 10 provinces. The ten provinces include Riau, Jambi, South Sumatra, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, West Java, Central Java, and East Java.

Meanwhile, World Bank Country Director for Indonesia and Timor Leste Satu Kahkonen said that the cooperation between the World Bank and the Government of Indonesia could be said to be very successful with the achievement of such significant results.

He supports the initiation of the Ministry of ATR/BPN to implement more pro-environmental land and spatial planning.

"This can start from the business process. What process business can be done that is related to support for climate change management," said Satu Kahkonen.

Land Tenure Specialist from World Bank Willem Egbert van der Muur also appreciated the performance of the Ministry of ATR/BPN in PPRA. He said, World Bank does not only continue to strengthen cooperation for current program achievements, but also for upcoming programs.

"Like if we talk about Online Single Submission (OSS), a business licensing system, it relates to the Detailed Spatial Planning (RDTR) under the authority of the Ministry of ATR/BPN. This RDTR is closely related in terms of investment. Therefore, not only encouraging economic growth, we can add added value to efforts in considering climate change," said Willem.

Minister of ATR/BPN Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) held a meeting with several representatives of the World Bank in Jakarta.

This meeting discussed the implementation of the ongoing program and the potential for cooperation between the two parties, especially in the achievements of Agrarian Reform.
