Here's BCA's Response To Land At IKN Wants To Be Taken By Other Parties

JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk or BCA (BBCA) has not yet laid the first stone or groundbreaking of its office in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) to date.

In fact, Bank Mandiri and BRI have started the construction of their office building at IKN on February 29.

Responding to this, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility BCA Hera F Haryn said that currently his party is still coordinating and communicating with OIKN regarding the construction of offices in the new capital city.

"We are still communicating, the IKN Authority may also not only be BCA, right, which is being studied and studied. So, we are still communicating about what kind of thing. Then, where is the point, we are still communicating and coordinating," said Hera when met by VOI at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta, Thursday, March 21.

Hera assessed that OIKN must also be very careful in studying the plans of investors who will build in the new capital city.

"Maybe friends at the Authority are also very careful because there are many parties, right, who may also be expected to support IKN," he said.

When asked further about the groundbreaking plan this year at IKN, Hera was reluctant to provide further information. "It's a difficult question, yes. Later, we will meet with further questions," he added.

For your information, in the OIKN presentation document in December 2023, the groundbreaking phase 4 at IKN will initially be attended by 15 investors, including PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA).

However, until now, BBCA has not realized project development at IKN.

Previously, Deputy for Funding and Investment of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Agung Wicaksono said that the land, which is planned for the construction of the BCA office, now wants to be taken by other parties.

"What is clear is that yesterday's land (for BCA) was already willing, it was already taken by another," Agung told VOI when met at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta, Thursday, March 14.
