JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) has realized a budget of IDR 1.36 trillion or 97.80 percent of the total budget obtained as much as IDR 1.39 trillion in 2023.
"The total budget of Rp1.39 trillion with the realization of the budget as of December 31, 2023 is 97.80 percent or Rp1.36 trillion allocated for the implementation of priority programs in each satker," said Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki quoted, Wednesday, March 20.
Teten explained a number of achievements of the Kemenkop UKM throughout 2023.
First, modern cooperatives that have been developed have reached 400 cooperative units consisting of 220 food cooperatives and 180 non-food cooperatives.
In 2024, Teten targets 100 modern cooperatives to be developed. Thus, accumulatively the 2024 target will be 500 modern cooperatives developed.
"Second, the expansion of access to financing through the KUR scheme. In 2023 it is IDR 260.26 trillion, which is distributed to 4.64 million debtors," said Teten.
Third, the Kemenkop UKM has built a Joint Production House or factory sharing in the context of accelerating the downstreaming of MSMEs to improve the quality of MSME products with regional superior commodities, which have been built in 8 locations throughout 2023.
"Fourth, the creation of new entrepreneurs with a target of 2024 (as many as) 1 million entrepreneurs. As of December 31, 2023, it was recorded that 821,556 entrepreneurs were successfully created through 320 activities out of 27 ministries/agencies," he said.
Fifth, packaged facility services to increase the added value of the quality and competitiveness of UMK products which are currently available in 13 locations.
"(In 2024 we will re-allocate 10 locations for the development of packaged facility services with a location that has been implemented. Now we are proposing 10 more locations and plans to develop packaged service facilities to 20 locations," he said.
Sixth, extreme poverty alleviation that has been carried out in 48 priority locations in 2023 through facilitation of access to financing, expansion of market access as well as assistance and training for cooperatives and micro-enterprises.
Seventh, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs has collected complete data on the number of MSMEs in Indonesia.
To date, data by name by address has been collected as much as 13.4 million data.
