Highest, Sri Mulyani Calls The Realization Of Expenditures For Retirement To Increase 16 Percent To IDR 34 Trillion In 2024

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that the realization of spending for retirees had been disbursed for IDR 34 trillion until the end of February 2024. This realization rose 16 percent when compared to the same period last year which only reached IDR 29.3 trillion.

"The pension allowance jumped 16 percent from last year due to an increase in the 12 percent allowance," he said during a working meeting with Commission XI of the DPR RI, Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

The allowance was distributed by PT TASPEN (Persero) or the Civil Servant Savings and Insurance Fund of IDR 29.8 trillion or grew 16.3 percent from the same period last year.

Furthermore, PT ASABRI (Persero) also distributed Rp4.2 trillion or grew 14.5 percent from the same period last year.

For information, in the last five years, the realization of spending distributed to retirees in February 2024 is the highest.

As for 2020, the realization of spending distributed to retirees reached IDR 25.8 trillion or grew 10.6 percent, and in 2021 the realization reached IDR 27.1 trillion, an increase of 5.1 percent.

Then in 2022, the realization of spending distributed to retirees reached IDR 27.9 trillion or grew 2.9 percent, in 2023 it reached IDR 29.3 trillion, an increase of 5.1 percent, and in February 2024 it reached IDR 34 trillion or the realization jumped 16 percent.
