JAKARTA - PT Sarinah (Persero) is targeting an increase in sales of 20 percent during Ramadan 2024.

The Company will also carry out a number of programs to attract public interest.

Director of Business and Property Development Sarinah (Persero) Selfie Dewiyanti said Sarinah is optimistic that she can achieve this target. The reason is, the trend of visitors during Ramadan and Eid tends to rise.

"If you look at the trend of visitors during fasting and Eid sales, it will increase by 20 percent," said Selfie during a media gathering in Sarinah, Central Jakarta, Friday, March 15.

As the only mall belonging to BUMN, continued Selfie, Sarinah has prepared a number of interesting programs to lure visitors during Ramadan.

Selfie said the strategy to be carried out is to intensify promotions, add new brands, provide more affordable products, and present a midnight sale program with various price discounts.

"When measuring with other department stores, midnight sale is one of the keys in increasing sales during Ramadan," he explained.

Even so, Selfie admits that visits and sales transactions in Sarinah are currently relatively low.

He considered, this is natural considering that fasting is only entering its inaugural week.

"This March is still quiet, starting March 26 until early April we predict it will be the peak of traffic. This is the momentum for us to work on a program suitable for visitors," said Selfie.
