Check Beef Prices, Trade Minister Zulhas: Safe, Equal Rich Last Year Rp140,000 Per Kg

JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan said that the price of beef at the beginning of Ramadan was still safe or there was no increase. The price price price priced by traders ranges from Rp. 130,000 to Rp. 140,000 per kilogram (kg).

"The meat is safe, there has been no change. IDR 130,000, IDR 140,000," he said at Kramat Jati Market, East Jakarta, Jakarta, Friday, March 15.

The man who is familiarly called Zulhas said that the price of beef at the beginning of the month of Ramadan was the same as last year's price. This means that prices are still stable.

"From last year, that's right. I checked for myself, IDR 130,000, I always did that," he said

Referring to the price panel at the National Food Agency (Bapanas) as of March 15, the national average price of pure beef is IDR 135,190 per kg. The price was observed to fall by 2.78 percent or IDR 1,810 from last week's position.

Still referring to the same source, the price of pure beef is IDR 158,750 per kg in Central Papua. Meanwhile, the lowest price is in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) at IDR 114,130 per kg.

Previously, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan said that beef in the market had not increased. He said that the price of beef is indeed priced at IDR 140,000 per kg.

"IDR 140,000 for cows. It doesn't go up," he said at Tanah Abang Market Blok A, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 14.
