There Are Allegations Of Fictitious Investment Corruption In Taspen, Erick Thohir Respects The Legal Process

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir opened his voice about the alleged corruption with a fictitious investment mode for the 2019 fiscal year faced by PT Taspen (Persero).

He also mentioned that he respects the legal process that will be carried out in the future.

"The Ministry of SOEs always respects the legal process, including those in effect on corruption cases at PT Taspen. This case occurred in the period 2016 to mid-2019," he said in a statement in Jakarta, Friday.

Erick conveyed that the Ministry of SOEs is committed to continuing to be professional and transparent.

The Ministry of SOEs has also deactivated Taspen President Director Antonius NS Kosasih and was replaced by Taspen Cost Investment Director Rony Hanityo Aprianto as acting (plt).

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has announced the start of the investigation into alleged corruption cases with a fictitious investment mode in Taspen for the 2019 fiscal year.

"It is true, with the follow-up of public reports related to allegations of corruption under the authority of the KPK, there is currently a process of collecting evidence related to investigations into alleged corruption in fictitious investment activities at PT Taspen (Persero) for the 2019 fiscal year," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri at the Red and White Building, Jakarta, Friday.

Ali said the alleged corruption case was also suspected of involving several other companies. The KPK investigating team has named a number of parties as suspects in the case.

However, in accordance with the policy of the anti-corruption agency, any party designated as suspects and a complete description of the case will be presented when the suspects are detained.
