KAI Calls The Mount Megang-Fair Train Still In The Normalization Process

PALEMBANG - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Divre III Palembang said the Gunung Megang-Penanggiran railway line was still in the process of being normalized after being affected by the collapse of a girder on the Mantaian flyover construction project in Panang Jaya Village, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra, Thursday, March 7 yesterday.

Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Palembang Aida Suryanti in Palembang, Friday, said the railway line between Mount Megang-Penanggiran was not yet normal, so all trains that would pass through the plots of the road were still blocked.

He explained that the train passengers and coal transporters passing through the route could not operate, so the Bukit Sereli Baruk Train for departure this Friday was still canceled.

"Until this morning the train line is still in the process of normalizing, evacuating the facilities and material girder is still ongoing at the scene, so it cannot be crossed. As a result of this incident, the Bukit Serelo train related Kertapati-Lubuklinggau and vice versa for today's departure was canceled," he explained. quoted from ANTARA, Friday, March 8.

He said that there were 1,410 customers of the Bukit Selero train who were leaving today who already had tickets, 710 people for the Bukit Serelo train passengers, Kertapati-Lubuklinggau relation, and 700 passengers for the Bukit Serelo train, Lubuklinggau- Kertapati connection.

The prospective passengers of the Ali Bukit Serelo train who experienced the impact of this disturbance have been notified of the cancellation via a Whatsapp blast.

"For passengers who have tickets, they are given 100 percent return, they can be taken at the departure stations of Kertapati, Prabumulih, Muara Enim, Lahat, and Lubuklinggau for the next seven days," he said.

PT KAI Divre III Palembang apologized to KAI customers for the inconvenience.
