JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Thohir said BUMN employees could take additional holidays on Friday after working hard. This step is an effort to encourage mental health aspects for state-owned employees.

However, Erick emphasized that this program is not for SOEs to encourage employees to be lazy to work. He also said that it does not mean that every Friday BUMN employees can take a day off.
Furthermore, Erick said, the program is a right that can be taken by BUMN employees twice a month. Where employees who have worked extra can register holidays in their respective agencies.
"We encourage this does not mean we encourage you to be lazy. Not every Friday is off. If you have worked more than 40 hours in that week, you can register, in a month or two every Friday it can be an alternative for holidays. We do that," he explained.
