Basuki Expresses Readiness Of Basic Infrastructure Ahead Of The 79th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia At IKN

Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono reviewed the development of the basic infrastructure for the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan.

One of the things reviewed is the road construction project to see the readiness to hold the 79th Anniversary ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN in August 2024.

"We saw that this road construction process from there was almost all (worked), it was just a fire, a compactation," Basuki said as quoted from the official Instagram upload of the Ministry of PUPR @kemenpupr, Wednesday, March 6.

Basuki said that the management of road construction at IKN was really calculated carefully. In fact, for tree cutting alone there are calculations.

"Earlier we passed the asphalt. Then the soil, starting from the land, the new compactification is asphalt. This stone is all made of hammers. So, the construction management is calculated properly. Cutting trees is calculated," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Archipelago Capital Development Implementation Task Force (IKN) Danis Sumadilaga said that the basic infrastructure of IKN such as Bandungan and intake has also been completed. Then, the electricity network, fiber optics, water and gas pipes will be inserted into the multi-utility tunnel.

"We are located at the Sepaku Semoi Dam, this has been completed, then the Sepaku intake has been completed. That means the raw water which will be processed into drinking water is ready. Support infrastructure, clean water, electricity, fiber optics, gas, we have also prepared which will enter the multi-utility tunnel," said Danis.

"Then, the national axis. The important thing is also toll road access. The point is ready, God willing, August 17," he concluded.
