Situbondo Food Task Force Ensures Safe Rice Stock Ahead Of Ramadan

SITUBONDO - The availability of rice in the Situbondo Regency, East Java, is confirmed safe ahead of the holy month of Ramadan 1445 Hijri.

The stock of this basic need is ensured safe after the local Food Task Force can consist of the Office of Industry and Trade Cooperatives, the Agriculture and Food Security Service and the police routinely monitor rice mills and rice distributors in their area.

"We and the police directly check rice stocks at the milling level and rice distributors in Situbondo. Thank God the rice stock is safe," said Head of the Situbondo Regency Industry and Trade Cooperative (Diskoperindag) Office Edy Wiyono in Situbondo, East Java, in; reported by ANTARA, Saturday, March 2.

He said that checking rice stocks at the distributor level was carried out together by the Situbondo Police to ensure food stocks were safe, because usually during Ramadan until Lebaran the basic needs of the community increased.

From the results of the inspection by the Food Task Force team, continued Edy, it is certain that the availability of rice meets the needs of the community, while the price of grain and rice has decreased due to entering the main harvest season so that it is predicted that rice prices in the future will continue to decline.

"The results of checking at mills and distributors for rice stocks approaching Ramadan until Lebaran will be sufficient and rice prices have also begun to decline," he said.

Diskoperindag together with the Department of Agriculture and Food Security and the Situbondo Police checked rice stocks and prices in the Panji, Besuki, sub-districts around cities and other areas.

Di millingan beras UD Karunia Desa Panji Kidul, Kecamatan Panji, memproduksi beras medium sebanyak 20 sampai 25 ton per hari.

Meanwhile, the rice distributor Toko Rini Bangkit on Jalan Irian Jaya, Mimbaan Village, Panji District, received information that rice prices had decreased over the past two weeks.

For rice stocks at Toko Rini Bangkit, 25 kg packaging as much as 50 sacks per brand, 30 sacks per brand, 25 kg packaging per brand and 5 kg packaging as much as 100 Sak per brand.

From observations, the price of medium and premium rice in Situbondo Regency, East Java, since the last few days has begun to gradually fall along with entering the rice harvest period.

The price of medium rice from the previous Rp. 15,000 per kilogram fell to Rp. 13,700-Rp. 14,000 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the price of premium rice is currently also starting to fall by Rp. 15,100 per kilogram from the previous good quality rice reaching Rp. 16,000 per kilogram.
