Has A Potential Reserve Of 45 MWE, KESDM Auction For Cikolok Sukabumi Geothermal WK

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) announced the auction for the Cisukarame Housing Working Area (WKP) located in Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

In the announcement, the Directorate General of EBTKE listed the Cisukarame Cisolok WKP as having an area of 15,580 Ha with a ceiling of areas included in the 4,266 Ha Haca Salak Mount Halimun National Park, 23 Ha Production Forest, Limited Production Forest 30 Ha and 11,261 Ha in other use.

"The WKP Auction Committee in the Cisukarame Cisolok area at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will carry out the WKP Auction with prequalification," wrote the Directorate General of EBTKE in its announcement quoted on Thursday, February 29.

WKP Cisolok-Cisukarame has the potential for geothermal resources of 45 Megawatts of electricity (Mwe) with an estimated reservoir temperature of 170 to 235 Celsius with a development capacity plan of 40 Mwe.

The Directorate General of EBTKE also stated that the value set for the auction guarantee at the WKP auction in the Cisukarame Cisolok Area was IDR 1 billion.

The plan to develop geothermal Cisolok-Cisukarame has been covered by the spatial plan of the Sukabumi Regency in accordance with Regional Regulation Number 22 of 2012 concerning the Sukabumi Regency Spatial Plan for 2012-2032.
